Mr. Ivan Frank M. Olea, the consul-general of the Chongqing Philippines Consulate, visited Chongqing Robinsons Galleria and had a meeting with Dave Law, the Chongqing Robinsons’ CGM, on Jan 14, 2025. The two sides expressed their strong willingness to collaborate to promote the economy in tourism and specialty products. Mr. Ivan Frank hoped through this chance to promote the tourism of the Philippines in Chongqing and even in western China. Chongqing Robinsons expected this opportunity to introduce Philippines specialty products, enriching the mall’s features and offering customers more choices.
Tourism promotion activities were planned by both parties. The consulate will provide information about the Philippines’ tourist attractions and cultural activities, and Chongqing Robinsons will provide its spaces and publicity channels to hold theme exhibitions and introductions to advertise the sceneries and customs of the country.
To ensure cooperation goes well, the two sides agreed to establish a regular communication mechanism and set up a special working group to coordinate and advance the work.
This meeting has established a foundation for cooperation between the consulate and Chongqing Robinson Galleria. The cooperation plan for tourism and specialty products has a wide range of development prospects and will enhance the cultural and economic exchange between Chongqing and the Philippines, leading to mutual benefits and win-win outcomes.
